Responsible for the preparation and sale of food and beverages, merchandise sales, and cleaning of concessions equipment and building. Must possess good public relations skills and the ability to carry out established policies and procedures.
Cleans the concessions equipment, facility, and the surrounding area; ensures all supplies are returned to its proper place in storage, and assists with returning the facility to its proper state.
Maintains work areas in a clean and organized manner.
Performs work safely in accordance with department safety procedures.
Reports any unsafe work conditions or practices to supervisor; accurately documents and reports accidents, injuries and incidents that occur to the Concessions Supervisor or Manager.
Assists with the daily opening and closing of a concessions building.
Operates a point of sale (POS) system and a cash register system.
Adheres to division, department, and County policies and procedures as well as Health Department guidelines.
Exhibits a high degree of customer service skills and positive attitude with patrons and staff at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Related Work Experience Preferred, But Not Required.
This job is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment checks to include criminal history and background checks (for 18 years or older).
Must be willing to attend class towards obtaining food handler’s certification/license.
Supplemental Information
Working knowledge of facility operations, scheduling staff, and maintenance procedures.
Ability to compute basic math for counting of supplies and to collect/return proper amount of cash.
Must be able to effectively communicate with the general public and staff.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Ability to operate food preparation equipment such as microwave, popcorn machine, etc.
Position Is Work-as-required, No Benefits.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Physical Demands
Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items on a consistent basis. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
