Responsible for a variety of clerical/administrative duties in support of the Fleet Services division. Serves as a receptionist, answering the phone and greeting visitors. Receives and responds to a large volume of customer service requests and various inquiries; provides information or refers inquiries to appropriate personnel; and processes a variety of payments/deposits. Reads, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing correspondence; prepares and distributes bulk mailings. Provides administrative support by creating and updating charts, reports, and forms using a variety of formats; faxes and photo-copies materials; maintains a variety of records and files. Enters work orders and other information into various database systems. Work up to 25 hours a week with a flexible schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent supplemented by course work in secretarial science or business practices, and 1-2 years of secretarial or clerical work in a position involving public contact; or any combination of education and experience.
Requires considerable knowledge of business English and modern office procedures and equipment.
Must have good keyboarding and proofreading skills.
Personal computer experience using Microsoft Word and Excel software required.
Requires an acceptable criminal background check.
Physical Demands
Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines which include a computer, calculator, copier, facsimile machine, etc. Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
