Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:  This is a full-time, in-person position located at the York County Regional Training Center in Alfred, ME.  Salary level pending final approval with a full benefits package available commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators’ Unit.

 

SUMMARY

York County Community College (YCCC), a dynamic and student-centered institution with a proud 30-year history of transforming lives and communities throughout York County, Maine, is seeking a highly organized, student-focused, and collaborative professional to serve as Student Success & Administrative Services Coordinator.

 

Reporting to the Director of Industry Training & Development (with additional direction from directors of the York County Regional Training Center and County partners), the Student Success & Administrative Services Coordinator is a generalist, student-facing role that supports admissions, student success, registration services, and administrative coordination for credit and non-credit programming delivered at the York County Regional Training Center (RTC).

 

This position serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and enrolled students, instructors, community partners, and the public, supporting students from initial inquiry through enrollment, onboarding, persistence, and completion. The Coordinator also plays a key operational role in ensuring accurate records management, scheduling, invoicing, and coordination of day-to-day operations.

 

The Student Success & Administrative Services Coordinator works collaboratively with Admissions, Academic Affairs, Short-Term Training, Financial Aid, instructors, County departments, and external vendors to ensure responsive, compliant, and student-centered service delivery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Student Support & Retention

  • Provide proactive success coaching to students in credit, non-credit, and workforce training programs

  • Assist students in clarifying educational, career, and workforce goals

  • Identify and respond to barriers to student success through timely intervention and referral

  • Connect students with campus resources including tutoring, accessibility services, and financial aid

  • Support student onboarding activities, including orientations and engagement initiatives

 

Administrative & Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate scheduling of classrooms, labs, and meeting spaces

  • Manage correspondence with students, instructors, vendors, and community partners

  • Support purchasing, invoicing, and operational processes for RTC programming

  • Maintain strong working relationships with campus departments and County partners

  • Assist with website and social media updates related to RTC programming

 

Admissions, Onboarding & Registration Services

  • Serve as the primary front-line contact for RTC programs and activities

  • Provide accurate information regarding programs, admissions requirements, and enrollment processes

  • Receive, review, and process admissions and registration documentation

  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student data in the student information system

  • Track admissions and enrollment activity and coordinate with Admissions and Registration & Records

 

Data, Reporting & Institutional Engagement

  • Maintain and report data related to enrollment, retention, and student outcomes

  • Support program evaluation, compliance reporting, and planning efforts

  • Participate in college committees, professional development, and public events

 

Other Duties

  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and student-centered culture

  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the scope of the position

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field

 

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, student-centered environment

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to interpret and apply college and MCCS policies and procedures

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments
