Experience And Qualifications
- Must have the ability to interact with others in a manner that demonstrates professionalism, respect, and dignity.
- Works in an environment requiring the physical demands of standing for extended periods of time, lifting, operating cooking equipment, and serving meals.
- Act 34 Clearance, Act 151 Clearance, FBI Clearance (self-paid)
- Drug Screening (self-paid)
- Act 126 & Act 71 Training Certificates
- Bloodborne Pathogens Certificate
- Letter of Interest, Resume and Application on the District website
- High School Graduate
- Uses recipes to prepare food for service.
- Operates equipment as necessary in the course of daily duties including, but not limited to, slicer, grinder, mixer, can opener, dishwasher, stove, oven, steam table, POS system, calculator, steamer, kettle, grill, mechanical chopper, and pulper.
- Serves meals using approved serving utensils ensuring portion sizes and procedures are followed.
- Follows all food safety guidelines as directed such as washing hands, wearing gloves, time-stamping food and rotation using First In First Out.
- Exhibits a clean-as-they-go mentality for keeping work areas and tables clean and free of food debris.
- Participates in daily cleaning of the facility to include worktables, dishes, pot & pans, equipment, and smallwares.
- Assists in cleaning cafeteria tables and chairs/seats between meal periods and at the end of the day.
- Additional duties as assigned, in support of food service operations.
