What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher I/II position at Yolo Emergency Communications Agency?
As a Dispatcher I/II, you will:
- Receive and process 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Evaluate calls and obtain critical information while remaining calm under pressure.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS personnel using a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
- Monitor multiple radio frequencies and maintain the status of field units.
- Coordinate responses between multiple public safety agencies.
- Enter and retrieve information through CLETS and other public safety computer systems.
- Accurately document calls, radio traffic, and incident activity.
- Operate multi-line telephone, radio, and computer equipment simultaneously.
- Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with the public and partner agencies.
- Perform other duties that support the operations of the Communications Center.
