Join our Yokohama Tire Manufacturing Mississippi (YTMM) Increasing Talented Innovators through Real Exposure (ITIRE) Summer Intern program at our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in West Point, MS. This internship provides a unique opportunity for high school students to gain hands-on-experience in the manufacturing industry. As an intern, you will work closely with our skilled professionals, participating in various aspects of the production process.
Responsibilities
- Assist in day-to-day manufacturing operations.
- Learn and apply basic assembly and production techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
- Gain exposure to quality control procedures.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines always.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Perform 2S and 5S.
- Rising Juniors & Rising Seniors (High School)
- Must have a 2.60 – above Grade Point Average
- Must have a letter of recommendation from one of the following people: teacher, guidance counselor, career coach, administrator, community leader, or a YTMM employee.
- Submit a 100-word essay explaining why this experience will aid in their career development.
- Must reside in one of the following counties: Clay, Lowndes, Monroe, Oktibbeha, Chickasaw or Noxubee
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently.
Salary : $15 - $20
