Material Handlers are needed for a long-term contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
Base Pay Rate: $20 to $21 per hour
There is a chance that this role has the potential to become a direct hire opportunity. This particular client offers competitive compensation that will commensurate upon experience.
Material Handlers:
What You Will Be Doing
- Receive, store, move and control of materials in and out of company facilities.
- Maintain stock balances and coordinates shortages.
- Fork truck/ electric pallet jack operation,
- Required: Hand/power tool experience
- Required: Basic computer skills
- Desired: Experience with inventory software
- Material handler position responsible for stocking and picking in bulk rack section. Use of stock picker fork truck required, which includes working at heights.
- Responsible for controlling and maintaining the accurate transfer of parts and materials in and out of stock room; verifies and maintains stores inventory and/or shortage reports; locates and expedites necessary materials
- Experience with loading and/or unloading material, equipment or supplies from trucks or other vehicles.
- Ability to utilize small hand tools and operating material handling equipment, including skids, pallet handlers and hand trucks in the process of moving material in and out of loading area and within the warehouse storage facility.
- Experience with dealing with other functional areas in order to provide information on material status, such as stock balances, coordinate rectifying shortages, etc.
Shifts are:
- First Shift 6:30AM -3 PM
- Weekend shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am to 6:30 pm (shift differential is 11%)
- Second shift 3 pm to 11:30 pm M-F (shift differential is 10%) or 3:45PM to 2:30AM ( Mon - Thu )
