Engineering Technician - First and Fourth Shift
Location:
35 Dory Road, Gloucester, MA 09130
Shift: Monday through Friday from 5:45 am to 3:30 pm
4th shift Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:45 am to 6:30 pm will have an additional 11% differential per hour
Pay:$30-$35/hour depends on experience.
Role Overview
Join our team working on advanced semiconductor equipment such as Ion Implanters
and RF Plasma Systems. In this role, you will:
- Perform electro-mechanical technical functions: design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
- Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Perform new system installations, NPI setups, and field upgrades.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and written/verbal instructions to conduct testing and troubleshooting.
- Compile logbooks and test documentation with strong technical writing skills.
- Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms per engineering and manufacturing specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment, following all safety standards.
- Assist in correcting process issues and perform rework as needed, generating Quality Notifications.
Technical Skills - Required:
- Ability to write detailed technical reports and test procedures.
- Competence in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on VSE platforms.
- Full understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
- Ability to build equipment from unreleased schematics, assembly drawings, and pictures.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with electrical test devices, meters, and fiber optic communications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
Desired:
- Experience with motion controls using PMAC.
- Build and fabrication skills.
- Familiarity with measuring devices.
