What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company?
Schedule: M-F 8a-4p
Duration: 8/10-1/7 with possible extension (leave of absence coverage)
Pay: $65-75/hr DOE
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Travel Medicine encounters
- Minor in-office procedures and testing: COVID testing (Rapid/PCR), Strep Throat, Influenza or Mono POCT testing, Splinter removal, Urinalysis/HCG testing and analysis, preforming phlebotomy, administering nebulizer, and reading EKGs.
- Cerumen impaction removal, Eye care (eye wash available in office for foreign body), Pap Smears and STD testing, Breast examination, complete annual physical exams
- Referrals to appropriate physicians for preventative care, wound care (minor burns, cuts, blisters), evaluating acute musculoskeletal injuries and splinting minor injuries (wrist, fingers).
- Ability to evaluate, diagnosis, and prescribe treatments of acute and chronic illness.
- Administer vaccinations (TDAP, Shingles, travel vaccines upon request)/allergy shots (working collaboratively with patient's allergist) and educating patients regarding aftercare.
- All nurse practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
- Master’s degree in science of nursing
- BLS upon hire
- Phlebotomy skills
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department settings
