Looking for a solid PCB Layout Engineer to join the team & contribute to our high-performance data center products. As a PCB Layout Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing/optimizing printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Cadence Allegro PCB design tools. The primary focus will be on high-speed signaling, including 100G apps, power distribution, large BGA ball-map breakouts & complex HDI PCB stack-ups for high-performance data center products.

Projects:
• Lead the design/optimization of high-speed PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro, tailored for 100Gig signaling. Implement strategies for impedance matching, trace routing, & crosstalk mitigation, resulting in robust designs which meet the strongent performance demands of modern data centers.
• Develop/implement power distribution networks for cutting-edge data center HW. Design power planes, decoupling strategies, & thermal mngmt solutions to support high-performance systems, ensuring reliability & efficiency under heavy loads.
• Manage the design of complex High-Density Interconnect (HDI) PCB stack ups for multilayer boards. Integrate blind/buried vias & microvias to meet the advanced tech requirements of data center systems, enhancing signal integrity & achieving compact form factors.
• Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineering teams to integrate PCB designs within the overall system architecture. Provide key input during design reviews to optimize performance, ensure manufacturability, & align with system-level objectives in a data center environment.

Required:
• Experience with HDI boards, focused on network switches/data center switches.
• Experience at one of the following companies (Or similar networking companies) – AMD, Dell, Astonis, Defense contractors, Arista, HPE Aruba, Astara Labs, Palo Alto Networks, etc.
• At least a basic understanding of Cadence Allegro PCB design tools. If they are more comfortable with another tool set but have basic Allegro but are experienced with networking switches/data center switches, HDI boards, and over 26 layer complex boards, they will talk to them.
• 4 years of experience in PCB layout design. Focus on high-speed signaling, power distribution, & HDI stack-ups, ideally for high-performance data center products.
• In depth knowledge of high-speed digital design principles, including SI & impedance control.
• Experience with complex HDI PCB design & manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of power distribution network design & thermal management techniques, particularly for data center applications.


Estimated Min Rate: $75.00
Estimated Max Rate: $80.00/hr. Depends on work experience
