Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is hiring an Analytical Chemist for our Chatsworth, CA client. In this role, you will be focused on the testing and analytical support of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
About the Role
This is a Temp to Hire position with an estimated hourly rate of $22-$24 per hour. As an Analytical Chemist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing timely analytical testing support on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products
- Supporting method development and validation testing
- Collecting, interpreting, and documenting experimental data
- Maintaining laboratory notebooks and related records
Responsibilities and Duties
In addition to the above, you will be responsible for:
- Operating various analytical instrumentation, including HPLS, GC, UV/VIS, IR, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Elementary analyzer, etc.
- Troubleshooting analytical and instrumental problems
- Maintaining a clean and organized workplace environment
- Using chemicals wisely and ensuring a safe work environment
- Participating in cGMP training and other relevant training programs
- Reporting quality-related matters to the Quality Control Supervisor/Manager or Director
- Practicing FDA good laboratory practice requirements
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field, or at least 2 years of experience in an analytical laboratory
- Detailed-oriented skills, strong computer and math skills, and excellent communication abilities
