Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, managing Uber Eats and Door Dash, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role is essential in setting the tone for a positive dining or hospitality experience and requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
- Escort guests to tables and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations and waitlists using Yelp Waitlist system.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
- Support guest relations by providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring guest comfort
- Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the dining area and host station
Requirements
- Previous Host/host experience or background in food service preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours
