Overview:

We are seeking a contract Data Engineer to lead efforts in integrating healthcare data from various sources into a unified platform that supports analytics, compliance, and interoperability.

Responsibilities:

  • Ingest and transform healthcare data (HL7, FHIR, EHR systems)
  • Build and maintain HIPAA-compliant data pipelines
  • Ensure high-quality, normalized datasets for analytics teams
  • Implement data security and access controls for sensitive information

Requirements:

  • Experience in healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, EDI)
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL frameworks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS HealthLake, Azure Healthcare APIs)
  • Understanding of HIPAA, PHI security, and regulatory compliance
  • Prior experience working with clinical or claims data preferred
