Job Title: Yoga & Fitness Instructor

Position Summary: YogaSix Teachers are passionate, dedicated professionals who are eager to grow, connect, and change lives. We hire teachers as part-time employees rather than independent contractors because we are fully invested in your long-term professional development and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering Exceptional Classes
- Instruction: Teach safe, fun, and creative classes tailored to both novice and seasoned practitioners.
- Brand Standards: Infuse your unique personality into the class while strictly adhering to YogaSix standards for our six core formats.
- Studio Management: Properly set up and manage the practice room environment (props, mat spacing, music, and lighting).
- Cleanliness: Clean and organize the practice room and prop room immediately after each class.
2. Building Connection & Community
- Pre/Post-Class Engagement: Arrive at least 15 minutes before class and stay 15 minutes after to connect personally with students.
- Studio Support: Welcome new students during trial periods, promote upcoming studio events, and maintain thorough knowledge of special programs.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills
- Certification: Minimum 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification.
- Experience: 1 year of teaching experience is preferred.
- CPR: Current, valid CPR Certification.
- Soft Skills: Warm, approachable personality with a natural ability to connect with strangers and a great sense of humor.
- Mindset: Eager for growth, receptive to coaching, and committed to remaining a lifelong student.
Availability & Communication
- Minimum Hours: Must teach a minimum of 2 classes per week to maintain consistency and community connection.
- Communication: Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal skills in person, on the phone, and over email.
- Professionalism: Punctual, organized, trustworthy with confidential data, and able to remain calm and respectful under pressure.
- Tech Literacy: Proficient with computers and studio management software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move freely through a heated classroom to demonstrate postures, monitor movements, and offer hands-on adjustments.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Standard physical capabilities required to effectively hear and see (close/distance vision, depth perception) in a dynamic studio environment.
