Sales Associate

The Membership Sales & Service Associate assists the Studio Manager with membership sales as well the retention of current members. The Associate (referred to as a Wellness Advisor at YogaSix) provides superior customer service to members while assisting guests with class selections, answering membership questions, and transacting membership and merchandise purchases. Please note: this is a year round, part time position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
• Previous work experience in fitness, wellness or retail preferred
• Computer proficiency required
• Associate's degree or higher preferred. High school diploma required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute full sales process of lead generation, follow up, and closing the sale.
• Warmly welcome all guests to the studio, learn about about their goals and background to help with closing the sales.
• Be knowledgeable about the studio's classes, memberships and pricing
• Make calls to invite new students into the studio, follow up on their class experience and present membership and class pack pricing.
• Enter notes and follow up tasks in ClubReady (studio management software)
• Sell in studio retail merchandise
• Assumes responsibility for constantly improving your selling skills
• Ensure studio cleanliness
• Other duties as assigned

SHIFTS:

Applicants should be available to work at least 3 of the shifts listed below every week (exact times are subject to change):

• Mon: 8:30am - 1:30pm; 3:30 - 9:00pm
• Tues: 8:30am - 1:00pm; 3:30 - 9:00pm
• Wed: 8:30am - 1:30pm; 3:30 - 9:00pm
• Thurs: 8:30am - 1:00pm; 3:30 - 7:30pm
• Fri: 8:30am - 1:30pm; 3:30 - 6:00pm
• Sat: 7:00am - 1:00pm
• Sun: 8:30am - 2:00pm

Applicants should have the flexibility to work 2-3 additional shifts per month to ensure schedule coverage, when asked.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time. May be required to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to bend, lift, kneel, and drive a car. This job requires the person to climb up and down flights of stairs as elevators are not present at all locations. May be asked to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
• Must be able to effectively hear in person and via telephone
• Must be fluent in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to type in English.
