Duties
- Assist in the preparation and layout of concrete forms to ensure precise placement.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks such as concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and surface smoothing.
- Install rebar and metal mesh reinforcement according to construction plans and specifications to strengthen concrete structures.
- Perform concrete finishing activities including troweling, floating, edging, and caulking to achieve desired surface textures and smoothness.
- Support concrete pouring operations by setting up formwork, managing concrete mixers or pumps, and ensuring proper placement.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials like rebar, form panels, and other supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for all team members on-site.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating heavy equipment and power tools.
- Experience with concrete forming, formwork construction, and rebar installation techniques.
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to interpret construction plans a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights (roofing), and standing for extended periods during concrete finishing activities.
