Required Skills:

Country Office Network Closet Provisioning and application support for DCTrack and PowerIQ

• Utilize and implement Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software. DCTrack and PowerIQ to manage on-going changes within the data center environment.
• Develop and understanding and proficiency in updating and maintaining the DCTrack and PowerIQ applications. Facilitate any software changes with the Service Now team with regards to any integration changes.
• Keep all supporting groups advised of the provisioning plan.
• Perform asset management within the framework and guidelines of the World Bank Group’s IT asset management structure.
• Periodically audit and direct the performance of audits of all network closet IT assets per the guidelines as required.
• Support capacity planning and coordinate resource allocation.
• Provide capacity management reports on a regular basis.
• Work with System Owners and Local ITs to assist them in the provisioning of new assets into DCTrack NCRS
• Work with System Owners and Local ITs to assist them in the disposal of existing assets in DCTrack NCRS, ensuring that disposed assets statuses are reflected accurately in Service Now, DCTrack, and PowerIQ
• Work with Local ITs to validate and configure new CO NCR infrastructure assets in PowerIQ and that SNMP strings have been configured and assets are reporting correctly within PowerIQ
• Create and maintain new CO NCR DCTrack dashboards and reporting within DCTrack.
• Assist in the standardization of new DCTrack CO NCR dashboards and facilitate changes as requested by System Owners or Local ITs.
• Utilize knowledge of network topology, redundant power systems, structured cabling, HVAC systems relating to rack cooling, data center equipment enclosure requirements, and the physical network closet layouts to perform and oversee equipment placement and planning for Country Office NCRs.
• Build and maintain databases for use in generation of regular and ad-hoc queries, forms and reports.

Physical Device Removal and Disposal

• Work with existing staff to understand the current data center disposal process and utilize existing disposal work lists for equipment status updates.
• Validate that current disposal work lists are accurate and that physical assets have been picked up and assigned appropriately.
• Ensure that assets disposal statuses, once disposed of, have been reflected appropriately in SAP AMRs and correspondingly in for the Service Now CI and Hardware CIs.
