Location Houston, Texas (Onsite from day 1)
Looking for a GIS Consultant with Enterprise GIS experience in system architecture, system design, Web-Application Design Development and Implementation using ESRI based technology stack.
- Geodatabase designing & Data modeling using ArcSDE for Oracle and SQL Server platforms, Mapping & Cartography, Data Visualization & Presentation.
- Good understanding of FGDC Metadata standards.
- Spatial ETL using FME Desktop 2014 and FME Server.
- Core skills include Enterprise GIS Architecture Design, ArcGIS Server, Web-application Development, Portal for ArcGIS, Insights for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcSDE and Collector for ArcGIS
- Designed an SLA for GIS data management with the help of the security model.
- Developed project plan for GIS data migration project, estimated project timelines, major milestones and man-hours required to complete the project.
- Conducted bi-weekly team meetings to update status of the project.
- Take complete ownership of integration of ArcGIS desktop (Version 9.3 and 9.3.1) into enterprise software management portal.
- Designed workflows for the integration process and developed test plans. Reduced packaging time frame by 30% by acting as one point of contact.
- Provided consulting support across various business units across Chevron on GIS implementation, data storage standards & various data management workflows, developed new SLA's with BU's and bringing in more revenue.
- Created GIS Wiki by collecting customer requests over a period of 2 years & organized them according to user skill levels, thus improving response time by 50%.
- Provide subject matter expertise in GIS to geologists and geophysicists as part of their geotechnical solutions.
