Provide strategic and tactical support to the Director of PR and Communications in the effective function of the in-house PR team, while also working in tandem with global PR teams. Develop and execute earned media plans and secure brand building coverage for multiple seasonal campaign and capsule launches, events and on-site categories such as MRP own label, fine watches, exclusive capsules, the MR PORTER brand and The Journal. Manage brand events across the region, working with the MR PORTER marketing, creative, social media teams and local production agencies. Increase profiles of brand and spokespeople in the US by identifying opportunities across media outlets, conferences, podcasts and industry events. Oversee and implement the agreed approach with the regional and global teams. In line with strategy, come up with creative ways to tell the MR PORTER story, celebrating campaigns, events and the profiles of its executives, via relevant media in the region. Work closely with the marketing team to conceive and execute other special projects and product launches, optimizing owned and earned channels. Compile interview briefings for spokespeople in the business and written responses for features and news stories. Work closely with the Buying Director and Style Director to ensure that brand messaging is supported by the most compelling insight. Maintain relationships with relevant journalists, media and stylists across the US. Provide coverage targets (by month and by project). Accountable for KPI tracking and reporting, working with fashion PR Assistant. Monitor MR PORTER brand exposure, ensuring all communication and activity is in line with strategy. Management of the annual PR budget. The type of person we are looking for: Graduate (or equivalent) with proven PR experience in a luxury fashion, menswear or multi-brand environment Minimum 7 years in a PR role Strong relationships with fashion and lifestyle media. Experience with watch media is highly preferred. Retail PR experience within key markets in the US is preferable Exceptional event production experience. Proven track record of creating positive impact on business through PR and communications strategy Strong presentation & superb writing skills a must. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the luxury fashion industry and digital Proven commercial experience with working in a fast-paced environment Proven track record of creating a positive impact on business through implementation of a PR strategy Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills Extremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with a good dose of common sense and initiative Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly promote the MR PORTER offering Creative and strategic thinker Able to identify communication opportunities across multiple media platforms Strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel Compensation for this role ranges from $87,000 - $100,000 annually.
