Join our team as a Strength and Stability Group Exercise Instructor and make a positive impact on people's lives!
We are currently hiring Strength and Stability Instructors who can teach this weight and balance class for all ages, every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Black Creek Golf Country Club.
Compensation is $37.50 per class.
Responsibilities of a Strength & Stability Group Fitness Instructor:
- Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals
- Answer member questions and provide support to help them achieve their fitness goals
- Maintain a working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
- Build effective and authentic relationships with members, helping them connect with each other and the YMCA
- Keep accurate class attendance records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Certification in area(s) of expertise
- At least one year of experience teaching group wellness classes preferred
- Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED required within 30 days of hire
- National certification (e.g. ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction
- New Employee Orientation required within first week of hire
Physical Demands:
- Ability to conduct classes and activities
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
