Job Title: Member Services Representative, YMCA of Middletown (PT 20 Hours)
Job Description:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Role is for someone that is friendly, outgoing and has experience and proven success with multi-tasking and problem solving.
Essential Functions:
- Providing excellent service to members and guests.
- Promoting YMCA Membership and Programs.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Center and lobby area.
- Accurately collect and input membership/program information into the computer.
- Maintaining access control during check-in/member health screening.
- Answering member phone calls and in-person transactions.
- Volunteer at two YMCA community events per year.
- Other Clerical duties assigned.
Hours:
Full shift Sunday, with evening availability during the week (mid shifts) approx. 20hours a week flexibility for coverage IS A MUST.
Flexibility to work additional hours/shifts during the week/weekends is required.
Required Experience/Education and Physical Demands:
- 2 years or more of Clerical/Customer Service experience
- At least one year of experience in data entry, cash and phone handling
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual a plus
