The Chinatown YMCA is seeking an Executive Director who will be responsible for the overall operations of the Chinatown YMCA and its off-sites. They will also be responsible for continuing to develop and strengthen community-wide relationships with donors and various service organizations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. MSW preferred.
  • At least ten (10) years of progressively responsible operational and management experience, including five years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in generating earned revenue of $4 million or more.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and engage with community and corporate partners, civic leaders, staff, and members.
  • Experience working with a Board of Managers, supervising government contracts, and managing fundraising campaigns.
  • Strategic, analytical, and hands-on leadership traits.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive team culture by leveraging team members from diverse backgrounds and with diverse points of view.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills that can be adapted based on the audience.
  • Must be computer literate with Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Essential Functions
  • Directs and gives leadership to the Board of Managers, its committees, and staff in interpreting policies, strategies, and plans. Serves as the staff officer for the Board of Managers and implements its plans, policies, and decisions.
  • Develops and controls the annual operating, government, and capital budget in accordance with the guidelines established by the YMCA of Greater NY.
  • Acts as the chief officer of the branch and is responsible for the recruitment, selection, development, training, supervision, and evaluation of a highly competent staff.
  • Creates and maintains high-quality program and service portfolios that meet the current and future needs of the community with financial, human, and capital resources available.
  • Provides primary leadership in designing and directing all branch fundraising programs, including annual support, endowment, and capital campaigns.
  • Develops and maintains partnerships in the community with business and civic leaders, government, and other select organizations and agencies.
  • Serves as the primary staff member in creating and monitoring long-range plans for the branch involving board members, committee members, and community leaders.
  • Manages the facilities and property of the branch and off-sites to ensure high standards of maintenance and cleanliness and requirements of codes and laws.
