The Branch Executive Director oversees the operation of the branch and guides volunteer and staff development, financial development, and collaboration with community stakeholders.
This position is responsible for meeting key metrics, driving membership, and ensuring the quality of program delivery. A successful candidate will spearhead strategic growth and planning, cultivating robust community relationships and collaborations to expand the Y's outreach. With a focus on innovation, the Executive Director will drive the development of member-centric programs aligning with the Y's mission, goals, and strategies. Leadership extends to staff, volunteers, and members, incorporating a commitment to fundraising with a 2024 annual budget of $4.6 million and a fundraising goal of $500k.
Required qualifications include a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership experience, including staff development, fundraising, community relationships, and board and volunteer engagement. The most qualified candidates will have experience in philanthropy and cultivating volunteers, as well as previous experience managing within the nonprofit environment. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leading staff, and experience managing a budget. Previous YMCA experience is preferred but not essential. Bilingual applicants are strongly preferred.
The Executive Director will oversee and implement strategic growth and planning for the Tuckahoe Family YMCA. The Executive Director will focus on continuing to develop strong community relationships and collaborations further expanding the Y's reach into the community. Fosters a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs that support the Y mission, goals, and strategies. The Executive Director provides leadership to staff, volunteers, members, and fundraising to fulfill the mission of the YMCA with consistent demonstration of the YMCA's values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. The position involves a high level of leadership and vision as well as community visibility. The Executive Director will play an active role in leading and participating in community events and programs supporting the Y. This role will also support the operation of an off-site express Y.
