Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level clerical and administrative support to the branch leadership team. This role ensures efficient office operations, accurate record-keeping, professional communication, and excellent customer service. The Administrative Assistant works independently under general direction, handling sensitive information with discretion and serving as an essential point of support for staff, members, and volunteers.
Essential Functions
1. Support the YMCA mission by demonstrating and promoting the Y’s values in all aspects of the role.
2. Provide clerical and administrative support for branch leadership and staff, including new hire paperwork and volunteer vetting.
3. Process records, reports, and information accurately and on time.
4. Manage selected monetary transactions in accordance with YMCA policies.
5. Prepare board correspondence, meeting packets, notices, and minutes.
6. Coordinate schedules and maintain communication across departments.
7. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and concerns.
8. Monitor and order office supplies to maintain efficient operations.
9. Assist with fundraising efforts, events, and campaigns as needed.
10. Supervise and support volunteers or part-time staff as assigned.
11. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

- 1–3 years of office or administrative experience.
- Proficiency with Google Drive.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
