What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Center Attendant position at YMCA of Wayne County?
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This person works in the fitness center, assisting members with machine use, giving tours of the facility, and washing and restocking towels. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment. Will perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, and vacuuming.
- Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Replaces towels, washes, dries and folds towels and restocks other supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
