POSITION SUMMARY:
The YMCA Sports Academy provides sport specific training for youth athletes looking to enhance their strength, conditioning, and skillset by training with former professional and collegiate athletes and coaches.
The YMCA Sports Academy provides sport specific training for youth athletes looking to enhance their strength, conditioning, and skillset by training with former professional and collegiate athletes and coaches.
- Create written programs for each session
- Must be able to articulate own curriculum for teaching
- Build relationships with parents and create healthy communication about their child’s progress
- Encourage participants to sign up for upcoming sport seasons in the Y’s Youth Sports program
- Check equipment daily to ensure the safety of the athletes
- Communicate with Sports Director on needs and potential challenges in advance
Qualifications:
- Must provide proof
- NCAA Division 1 player or coach
- Semi-Pro Sports team player or coach
- Professional sports team player or coach experience
Requirements:
- NASM, ACE or YMCA provided Strength and Conditioning Certification
- CPR/First Aid ({provided by the YMCA)
- Physical Requirements; carrying, seeing, hearing, speaking, running, crouching, lifting (25lbs) and walking.
