The Aquatics Director will oversee all aspects of aquatic programming including training, supervision of lifeguards, coordination of swim lessons and all aspects of Aquatic programming for the branch.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Aquatics Programming
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid/Lifeguard Certification
- Minimum 2-year Staff or Volunteer supervision experience
- Knowledge of aquatics programming and safety issues
- Demonstrated leadership, dependability & flexibility in work hours
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
- Knowledge of budgeting & expense control.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- Experience teaching swim lessons
- Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed.
- Reviews and evaluates staff performance.
- Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Conducts training as needed and ensures staff records are current and complete.
- Monitors and maintains records of daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA health and safety regulations and ensures proper maintenance of pool.
- Develops and manages program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures regarding the prevention of abuse.
- Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or misconduct immediately to the appropriate supervisory staff.
- Attend mandatory training on abuse prevention, including recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
