MUSEUM – History Guide
1 Volunteer | May 18 – July 31
Works with staff and fellow volunteers to:

Maintain museum buildings and grounds

Offer guided tours to guests

Conduct educational programming
-
Assist with archival and collections research/administration
Seeking volunteers who enjoy working with children and adults and are interested in learning and teaching the history of the YMCA of the Rockies. Computer skills are a plus but not required.
CRAFT SHOP – Volunteer Instructor
Multiple Volunteers | September 1, 2026 – January 8, 2027
(Any 10-week commitment within this timeframe)
Teach arts and crafts to guests of all ages and abilities. Activities may include:

Pottery painting

Tie-dye

Ceramics
-
Mosaics
-
Leatherwork
-
Jewelry making
Requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to support multiple guests through the creative process. Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly Craft Shop.
HOUSEKEEPING
A. Crates
2 Volunteers | May-June
2 Volunteers | October – December
(Minimum 10-week commitment)
Primary responsibilities include ensuring the Housekeeping team is fully supplied for cleaning operations.
POST OFFICE
2 volunteers, May 11 through July 31, 1 volunteer (varied dates)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greet and assist clients in a friendly and professional manner, alphabetize and sort mail, drive and retrieve mail from Estes Park Post Office, label and alphabetize packages in the correct locations (by carrier), log packages in Excel, open and close.
FOOD SERVICE
3–5 Volunteers | May 1 – December 31
(Minimum 10-week commitment)
Responsibilities include:

Greeting and assisting staff and guests in dining halls

Ensuring staff are wearing badges
Seeking individuals with excellent customer service skills who are friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional.
