The Preschool Camp Counselor position is responsible for supporting the supervision of preschool campers (ages 3 and 4) in a small group setting provided by the Preschool Director.

- Assist the Preschool Director in the responsibility for the general safety and supervision of campers in assigned group.
- Assist Activity Directors during activity periods on an as needed basis. .
- Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to Camper check-in and check-out; meal times; activities and extended am and extended pm duties as assigned.
- Attend and participate in one week of General Staff Training.
- Must be 16 years of age (or will complete 10th grade this school year) or older
- Have knowledge in the supervision and safety of children.
- Must possess leadership skills that can assist in encouraging and motivating campers.
- The ability to teach songs, games, stories, sports and other related skills is preferred. Incumbent must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity.
- Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week with irregular work hours.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel & bend (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
- Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Must be able to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
