Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lake Worth, FL, for a Lifeguard or Swim Instructor. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of swimmers, supervising aquatic activities, providing swim instruction in accordance with established guidelines, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The role also involves enforcing pool safety rules, responding promptly to emergencies, and assisting with pool maintenance and inspections as needed. Swim Instructors will plan and deliver engaging lessons for swimmers of all ages and abilities while providing encouragement and instruction to build water safety skills.
Qualifications
- Strong swimming skills, water safety awareness, and knowledge of first aid and CPR
- Ability to teach swimming techniques, stroke development, and water safety practices to individuals of all ages
- Strong observation and risk-assessment skills for ensuring swimmer safety and responding to emergencies
- Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with swimmers, parents, and team members
- Possession of necessary certifications such as Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED (or willingness to obtain)
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for teaching water safety and swimming to diverse age groups
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor is a plus, although not required
