As part of our Early Learning Team, you will help create a warm, caring, and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and their families.
On a regular day, you will develop and lead classroom activities, engage children in a play-based learning curriculum, and support each child as they grow cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Meet Lead Teacher qualifications as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
- A solid understanding of children's growth and development-and the creativity to turn this knowledge into engaging, age-appropriate activities!
Requirements Before You Start:
- Complete EEC fingerprinting prior to your first day.
- Keep all required documents and certifications current in your educator file.
- Complete all trainings, certifications, and program orientation following EEC and YMCA of the North Shore guidelines.
- Maintain current Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certification.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, twisting, reaching, and transitioning between sitting (including sitting on the floor!) and standing.
- Willing to spend time outdoors in all seasons.
- Able to react quickly and appropriately to the unpredictable actions of young children.
