What are the responsibilities and job description for the Photographer - Camp Campbell position at YMCA of Silicon Valley?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Capture photos of summer, photographing camps, campers, activities, volunteers, staff, and setting.
- Catalog, edit, meta tag, and publish daily selected photos from each camp and maintain an ongoing photo database of digital images.
- Ensure smooth execution of the program specifically by being timely, prepared, and willing to assist with immediate and unforeseen needs
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
- Ability to work flexible hours to capture all parts of the camp day
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Personal Photography equipment preferred
- Experience photographing a variety of subjects where people, their activities, and their interactions are the primary focus
- A body of photography work that demonstrates a growing understanding of both the technical and creative sides of photography: light, composition, subject, moment, context, story, and emotion
- Ability to work independently, meeting deadlines
