POSITION SUMMARY:
The Aquatics Coordinator supports the effective administration of aquatic programs by focusing on scheduling, staff coordination, compliance, and customer service. This role ensures that all aquatic programs run smoothly through detailed planning, documentation, and communication. The Coordinator assists in managing certifications, registrations, program data, and communication with families.
SALARY: $25.00 - $27.00/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide high-quality customer service to members, participants, and families.
- Manage swim lesson and aquatic program registrations; process rosters and waitlists.
- Maintain up-to-date staff records including certifications, training logs, and timekeeping.
- Support the development of staff schedules; track shift coverage and attendance.
- Prepare internal communications, program updates, and participant notifications.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, attendance, pool schedules, and usage.
- Order and track inventory of supplies and equipment; process purchase requests.
- Coordinate communication with parents and members regarding class information, cancellations, or make-ups.
- Assist with planning and coordination of aquatic special events or seasonal promotions.
- Provide administrative support for audits, safety reviews, and compliance documentation.
- Complete required abuse prevention training.
- Supervise high-risk activities responsibly and report any unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
- Follow mandated reporting laws for suspected abuse.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 1 year of administrative experience
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Effective communication abilities and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage positively with staff, participants, and parents
- Currently certified in CPR/AED and first aid, or be certified within 30 days of hire.
