Volunteer

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a YMCA volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to strengthen communities by promoting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Volunteers assist in various capacities, including program facilitation, event support, administrative tasks, and community outreach.This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist in organizing and leading recreational, educational, and fitness programs.
• Provide support for special events, fundraising efforts, and community initiatives.
• Help with administrative duties, such as data entry, phone calls, and customer service.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for youth participants.
• Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and guests.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Passion for community service and the YMCA’s mission.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, members, and fellow volunteers.
• Dependability and a positive attitude.
• Background check and necessary training (as required for specific roles).
