YMCA of Middle Tennessee's Coopertown Middle School - Y-CAP is Now Hiring for a YCAP Program Assistant - Coopertown Middle School at Coopertown Middle School in Springfield, TN.

Position Type: Part-time

Pay Range starts at: $19 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Minimum Age to Apply: 18

Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00–5:00 p.m.

Are you passionate about mentoring youth and creating fun, meaningful afterschool experiences? Our team is looking for an enthusiastic YCAP Program Assistant - Coopertown Middle School to help lead the Y-Quest afterschool prevention program for middle school students. In this role, you’ll guide daily activities, support lesson plans, and help create a safe, engaging environment where youth can grow socially, physically, and emotionally—all while modeling the YMCA’s core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and engage middle school students in structured daily activities and curriculum
• Help create a safe, welcoming, and organized program space for youth
• Build positive relationships with participants, families, school staff, and YMCA team members
• Support program setup, transitions, evaluations, and special events

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum Age: 18
• High school diploma required
• At least 1 year of youth development experience preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to lead groups of youth
• CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric) certification required within 30 days of hire
• Ability to complete YMCA onboarding requirements including background checks and training
