About the Role
As a Program Director, you’ll lead our KIPP DC before & after school and summer camp programs — creating safe, enriching experiences for youth and supporting a team of 15–20 staff members. Your leadership will help ensure every child is supported and every family feels welcome.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day operations of youth programs at your site
- Lead, coach, and support youth development staff
- Build engaging, high-quality programming that supports kids’ growth and well-being
- Ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards
- Support special events, partnerships, and community outreach
- 3 years’ experience in youth development, education, or recreation
- Proven ability to lead and implement successful programs for elementary and middle school age children
- Bachelor’s degree or 15 semester hours in child development
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Budgeting and DC OSSE licensing experience a plus
