Information about this position includes the following:
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / POSITION RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for implementing afterschool curriculum and activities for a 2-4 year old class in an active preschool environment. Administer group activities that are fun and include music, games, arts and crafts. Follow the minimum standards set by DFPS and follow the curriculum provided by the branch. Safety is first - responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including emergency procedures as necessary. Assist with daily classroom setup and cleanup. Must be able to communicate with children, parents, and volunteers positively and effectively. Willingly attend staff meetings and in-service training (minimum 30 hours per year). Must be able to follow the YMCA Minimum Standards in dealing with day-to-day operations of the preschool program. Follow policies regarding dress code and appropriate conduct.
