What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper@Moorland At Oak Cliff position at YMCA OF METROPOLITAN DALLAS?
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Housekeeper will ensure that the Facility is maintained, clean, safe, operational, and attractive to members' satisfaction.
- He/she will sweep, mop, dust, and clean the facility daily to meet members' needs.
- Clean and maintain floors, carpets, walls, windows, tiled areas, showers, restrooms, and other facility surfaces.
- Ensure that supplies such as soap and paper towels are replaced regularly, and that waste is emptied.
- Performs all housekeeping duties.
- Reports building problems.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Utilize a preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule for the purpose of maintaining equipment and keeping the facility in operational peak performance.
Six months or more of experience in housekeeping work. Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment. Basic knowledge of maintenance helpful. Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to use equipment and chemicals in the prescribed manner, including the ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions. Ability to identify and resolve potential safety and security problems. Ability to handle demanding individuals calmly and courteously.
