Job Purpose
Required Education:
- The Group Exercise Instructor at YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is responsible for delivering high-quality group fitness classes that motivate and engage participants. - Plan and deliver group exercise classes that are suitable for participants of varying fitness levels.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in physical education, exercise science, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in leading group exercise classes, preferably in a gym or community center setting.
- Proven track record of engaging and motivating participants of various fitness levels.
- Experience in developing and implementing fitness programs tailored to diverse groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with class participants.
- Ability to demonstrate and instruct proper exercise techniques and safety protocols.
- Certification in group exercise instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, AFAA, or similar).
- Ability to adapt classes to meet the needs and abilities of participants.
- Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules and participant records.
