Position Summary:
The Gym Monitor at the Teen Center is responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for youth participants, and promoting respectful behavior while encouraging teens to stay active and involved.
Schedule
Wednesday-Friday from 3pm-8pm
Responsibilities:
· Monitor gym sessions, organize games and activities, ensure equipment is managed properly, and address conflicts or safety concerns in a calm and fair manner.
· Build positive relationships with teens, serving as a role model and helping foster a sense of community within the center.
· Supervise/implement gym activities.
· Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines while promoting respectful behavior and teamwork.
· Organize and lead recreational activities, games, and informal sports to encourage participation.
· Monitor use of gym equipment and maintain cleanliness and organization of the space.
· Collaborate with staff to plan programs and improve teen engagement.
Requirements:
· Be 21 years of age or older.
· Effective communication skills, attentiveness, and the ability to engage with teens in a supportive and respectful way are essential.
· The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic about youth development and recreation.
Salary : $15 - $16
