Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Lincoln, NE, for a Youth Programs - Climbing Wall Instructor at the YMCA of Lincoln. The instructor will be responsible for facilitating climbing wall activities, ensuring safety protocols, educating participants in rock climbing techniques, and creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. Additional responsibilities include teaching foundational skills related to outdoor education and contributing to the overall mission of the YMCA through youth programming and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Rock Climbing and Belaying Technique
- Experience in Teaching and facilitating youth programming
- Strong Communication skills to effectively engage with participants and team members
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a safe environment
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Prior experience in youth programs or climbing instruction is highly desirable
