Overview
We are looking for motivated and passionate leaders to help guide our staff, support our campers, and ensure a smooth and successful summer program. The ideal candidate loves working with young children, thrives in a fast-paced, fun environment, and brings strong management and communication skills. Leadership team members are essential in setting the tone, maintaining structure, and modeling professionalism throughout the season.
Leadership Positions:
- Assistant Director
- Health Director-Qualifications and certifications include Physician or Nurse Practitioner or RN or LPN or EMT, First Aid, CPR, RTE
- Village Director
- High & Low Ropes Director
- Program Director
- Waterfront Director: Qualifications include must be 21 years old, PSI or WSI, Lifeguard Management, Lifeguarding with Waterfront, CPR, and First Aid
Camp Seewackamano is a warm, play-based learning environment dedicated to nurturing creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young children. Our summer camp program blends engaging activities, outdoor adventures, and hands-on learning to make every day memorable!
Camp Seewackamano runs 6/30/2026-8/28/2026. Mandatory training dates TBD in June 2026.

Responsibilities
- Assists the Camp Director and Youth Development Director in the overall leadership of camp operations
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate summer camp activities
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play
- Communicate effectively with families and coworkers
- Uphold all licensing, health, and safety standards
- Support daily routines including meals and transitions
Qualifications
- MUST be able to work a minimum of 4 weeks during the camp summer
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong management and communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors and participate in active play
- Passionate, reliable, and team-oriented
