ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and assists in serving food under the supervision of the shift manager
- Is responsible for the washing of dishes and the cleaning and care of the kitchen, equipment, and dining hall
- Strictly follows sanitary standards set by the Hawaii State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
- Strictly follows sanitary standards set by the YMCA of Honolulu and Food Service Director at Camp Erdman
- Willingness and ability to adhere to code of conduct and exemplify the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility
Skills/Knowledge:
- Knowledge of standards of food preparation, serving, and kitchen procedures preferred
- Experience as a cook - camp or institutional food service preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved Hawaii Food Handler course preferred
