Job Title: Bus Driver (Summer 2026)
Description: We are seeking a responsible and friendly Part-Time Bus Driver for Summer 2026 to safely transport school-age children to and from YMCA summer programs. If you are passionate about helping kids, enjoy a dynamic work environment, and take pride in maintaining a strong driving record, we want to hear from you! As a Bus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring children arrive safely and on time, while creating a positive and supportive experience throughout their journey.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport children to and from YMCA programs, following designated routes.
- Ensure passengers are seated, secure, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain order on the bus, creating a calm and positive environment for all riders.
- Follow traffic laws and YMCA safety policies at all times.
- Assist in loading and unloading children as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 25.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of licensed driving experience with an excellent driving record.
- Valid FL CDL Class B license with passenger endorsements.
- Friendly, patient, and excellent at communicating with children and parents
- Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen
- Clearance of a Level 2 background check via fingerprinting*
Perks & Pay: Seasonal / Part-time (June 1-August 7, 5 days/week, 20 hours/week), $20.00 per hour. Free individual YMCA membership for employee and discount for household family member.
