Teen Engagement Program Coordinator, YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City has an immediate opening for a Teen Engagement Program Coordinator.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

In accordance with the Bylaws and policies established by the Board of Directors, and under the supervision of the Executive Director of Teen Leadership, the Teen Engagement Program Coordinator will provide support, planning, and implementation of activities for the Teen Leadership Department. 

Starting pay: $13.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in all aspects of planning and implementing of all Teen Leadership programs. (Youth and Government, Y Achievers, Teen Leadership Council, Teen Job Training and Y-Corps). 
• Assist with registration of all students, adults and volunteers for all Teen Leadership Programs. 
• Assist in gathering and complying data for all Teen Leadership Programs and associated grant reporting as needed. 
• Become ASHI Trainer certified and assist in implementation of Teen Job Training classes. 
• Possess the ability to relate to teens, parents, peers, branch staff, volunteers and community. 
• Maintain and ensure confidentiality of all participants in the program
• Follow all guidelines and procedures established by the YMCA
• Other responsibilities are appropriate with position evolvement and/or as assigned by the Executive Director of Teen Leadership. 
• Daytime, Night and Weekend hours could be assigned.

This position provides assistance to ensure key program areas are up to date and effective in reach in support of the population we serve within the mission of the YMCA. The effectiveness of this position is measured by: 

• Student/participant participation rates
• Recruitment of new schools and students
• Community partner participation and program satisfaction
• Number of external partners
• Depth and breadth of programs 

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
• 2-3 years of experience working with Youth & Teen programs
• Strong personal commitment to demonstrating a passion for working to improve the quality and impact of YMCA teen programs throughout our community.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills 
• Strong project management, organization and implementation skills.
• Proficient and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 21 years of age
• Upon hire – complete the Defensive Driving Course in order to drive the YMCA Teen Bus (a special license is not required).
• Proficiency in a variety of software programs i.e., Microsoft Office, Canva, Jotform, etc. And a strong technical capability for learning other systems as necessary.
• Commitment to the YMCA’s mission, Christian principles, and core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Salary : $13
