As the Camp maintenance Grounds Keeper you will maintains safe, clean, and attractive outdoor areas, performing tasks such as mowing, trimming, brush clearing, landscaping, and trash removal. You will perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and routine maintenance. This role will focus mainly on maintaining the grounds of 50 acres. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience in groundskeeping/general maintenance and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Experience required.

Key Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ability to operate and maintain light machinery such as lawn mowers, riding mowers, weed eater, etc.
- Willingness to learn to drive tractors and other larger machinery
- General upkeep and maintenance of campgrounds including but not limited to:
- Mowing
- Trimming
- Emptying trash barrels
- Cleaning gutters from a single-story roof
- Shop clean up, preventative maintenance, pest control, etc
- Determining daily material resources needed - Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do your work.
- Safety & Security: Identifying potential hazards, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring camp equipment is properly maintained.
- Seasonal Prep/Closing: Helping to open camp in the spring and close it in the fall, including wood splitting and minor construction tasks.
- Assist with set-up and tear-down of tables, chairs, and equipment for retreats and camp events
- Support kitchen and program areas with facility needs
- Help ensure all spaces are prepared and welcoming before groups arrive
- A self-starter who takes initiative without needing constant supervision

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Grounds experience preferred
- Must be able to pass routine and regular criminal background checks as a requirement of continued employment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the minimum requirements set by the company insurance carrier at all times.
- Ability to work indoors/outdoors, in the rain, wind, and in hot or cold conditions. Employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
- Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibration
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud with power tools
- May be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
- May be required to work from heights using ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds, climb, bend, stand for long periods of time, operate mechanical equipment and work in extreme heat and cold environments
