Whether you’re a lifeguard, a swim instructor, or a little bit of both, you’re going to love working in aquatics at the Y because you’re helping swimmers feel confident and gain experience in the water. No lifeguard experience? No problem, we’ll train you!
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Swim Team Coach to lead our swim program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming, a strong background in coaching, and the ability to inspire and develop athletes of all skill levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement training programs for the swim team.
- Conduct regular practices and provide individual coaching to team members.
- Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Organize and oversee swim meets and competitions.
- Collaborate with parents, athletes, and other coaches to promote the swim program.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in swimming.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a swim coach or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and training methods.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Background in competitive swimming is a plus.
