The YMCA of Greater New York Association Office is seeking a Data Analyst who will support the Research, Evaluation& Strategy (RES) and the Center for Community Impact (CCI) departments withdata management and reporting across the YMCA of Greater New York. As an expertin impact measurement and reporting, with a focus on program evaluation, theData Analyst will provide insight and analytical support to inform key businessdecisions within operations, fund development, marketing, and finance. Thiswork will require excellent analytical skills to support the establishment ofbaseline metrics, long-term development, and monitoring of impact andaccountability measures. The Data Analyst works analytically and is required todevelop a thorough understanding of the YMCA of Greater New York's strategicobjectives, operational portfolio, and community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analytics & Program Evaluation
- Analyze output, outcome, and impact data across all CCI and YMCA program initiatives, producing clear, actionable reports tailored to diverse audiences.
- Assist in the development and refinement of logic models, theories of change, and evaluation frameworks for YMCA and CCI programs.
- Contribute to evaluation planning, including indicator selection, measurement strategies, and data collection protocols.
- Support analysis and reporting for CCI program pilots, grant requirements, and impact studies.
- Deliver ad hoc analyses with a high standard of rigor, clarity, and timeliness to support executive decision-making.
Survey Design, Management & Insights
- Maintain and update program surveys in Qualtrics, ensuring strong question design, logic, accessibility, and alignment with evaluation frameworks.
- Produce survey reports and organizational summaries, synthesizing findings into insights that support strategic planning and program improvement.
- Support the development of new survey instruments, including pilots, testing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Assistant to ensure a fully executed survey schedule.
Data Quality, Governance & Documentation
- Perform routine data quality checks across program databases and the swimtracking application, identifying issues and collaborating with staff to resolve them.
- Maintain and update data expectations, reporting guides, and documentation to ensure consistent data collection and interpretation.
CrossTeam Collaboration & Capacity Building
- Collaborate with program teams, RES, and CCI departments to understand data needs, refine metrics, and support evaluation activities.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special events to support organizational learning and alignment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with the maintenance of the Organizational Personnel Chart in Excel and Vizio.
- Be the go-to person for data accuracy, integrity, and visualization across program initiatives.

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant Technical School Diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in data analysis or program evaluation.
- Experience learning new data systems.
- Interest in evaluating community programs or strategies.
- Culturally competent in a range of diverse contexts.
- Openness to feedback and review of work, and possesses an appreciation for quality control/assurance protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and timeliness of deliverables.
- Experience in analyzing data sets within Tableau preferred.
- This is an onsite, hybrid role based out of our Manhattan Office.
