POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kid Zone Program Specialist is responsible for the children in the Kid Zone to ensure a safe, fun area for children 2 months through 10 years old and their families to interact and enjoy. Schedule includes Monday-Friday,4:00pm-7:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am-2:00pm.

Must be 15 years of age or older. Six months to one year childcare or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles. Ability and desire to work with children of all ages.
CERTIFICATIONS
TRAVEL:0 - 5% of local travel within the state of Michigan; occasional out-of-state travel may be required for educational conferences or training

Essential Functions
- Supervises play and group activities of Kid Zone participants
- Maintains discipline and order
- Maintains supervision of participants
- Handles parent/member concerns
- Registers each Kid Zone participant
- Maintains all areas in clean, presentable fashion
- Insures equipment is clean and safe
- Enforces safety standards for the operation of the Kid Zone
- Implements Character Development: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility
Compensation

CERTIFICATIONS
- Blood Borne Pathogen training
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification required within the first 60 days
- First Aid Certification required within the first 60 days
- AED-Oxygen Certification required within the first 60 days
- State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
