Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fundraising strategies to drive revenue growth from individuals, foundations, government agencies, and corporations to advance the YMCA’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Lead the strategic design, donor engagement, and revenue performance of the YMCA's capital campaign, including ownership of campaign goal attainment, volunteer leadership activation, prospect pipeline management, and phased solicitation strategy across all donor segments.
- Advance philanthropic giving, including donor relations for major gifts ($50,000 - $250,000 ), across annual, capital, endowment, and planned giving goals.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive funding pipeline, including strategic prospecting, partnership development, proposal strategy, stewardship frameworks, and transparent CRM utilization, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and donor confidence.
- Engage senior leadership and represent the YMCA in external financial development efforts, communicating a clear and compelling case for support to funders, stakeholders, and board members; contribute to the creation of persuasive materials and presentations, with an emphasis on capital campaign priorities.
- Collaborate across departments, particularly with Finance and Operations, to ensure donor deliverables are measurable, financially sound, and contribute to performance reporting, cash flow forecasting, and compliance metrics.
- Ensure excellence in funder stewardship and grant compliance through a systematized stewardship strategy that includes:
- High-level engagement with key funders and philanthropic leaders
- Coordination of executive-led site visits and strategic updates
- Timely and accurate submission of narrative and financial reports to meet or exceed all donor requirements
- Collaborate with program leaders to identify funding needs and coordinate with leadership staff to prioritize funding requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree preferred in nonprofit management, business administration, public policy, communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience in fundraising, public affairs, or strategic communications.
- 5 to 8 years of demonstrated success in nonprofit strategy, major gift solicitation, and institutional fundraising, including experience in generating proposals, managing funding portfolios, and cultivating funder relationships at a regional level.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in the strategic planning and execution of a capital campaign of $5M or greater, including feasibility study interpretation, campaign phase management, case for support development, and volunteer cabinet cultivation and deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing, strategic messaging, and executive-level presentations tailored to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Project leadership abilities, with demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in deadline-driven environments.
- Proven ability to influence and engage cross-sector stakeholders, including C-level leaders, board members, government agencies, and philanthropic partners, with a track record of mobilizing support for mission-aligned initiatives. Capital campaign cabinet management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of fundraising analytics and prospect research methodologies, including data-driven tools and CRM systems to support donor cultivation, segmentation, and strategic engagement.
- Strategic, creative thinker with executive presence, able to synthesize complex information, develop compelling cases for support, and communicate vision clearly to inspire action and investment.
Salary : $50,000 - $250,000
